QUESTION: Is the Dovetail method used for construction and if not which method? Is glue, staples, nails used in construction? How moisture resistant is the wood (ie - what finish/top coat has been applied?) Does each piece pased all safety requirements/laws and has there been any recalls? Who would pay for shipping if any of the pieces needs to be returned?<br />Thanks!<br />Patty by None N 1/21/2013

ANSWER: It is not the dovetail method. As far as I see there are no staples or glue used. All pieces are put together w/ screws and wooden dowels. Wood seems moisture resistant. We have had the furniture for over a year and it is holding up well. Definitely a great price for what we were looking for. If you are looking for very high-end furniture, then this is not it. We were not looking for that...just something of quality at a reasonable price. As far as safety requirements, recalls, and who would pay for shipping on return pieces, that would need to be answered by someone at Simply Baby Furniture. by Heather S 2/11/2013

ANSWER: As a consumer of this product, I think it is fantastic especially for the price! Dovetail is not used. Every piece needs assembled with screws, steel dowels and cam locks. Glue is not needed. The only tools/supplies you will need is a screwdriver. The furniture is very sturdy and there are no safety hazard or recalls that I know of since purchasing this in April 2012. I do not know about water resistance as I do not let anything wet sit on any of the furniture. The furniture is sturdy wood and has a glossy white finish. The only issue we had was that the mattress is such a snug fit that we had trouble getting it in and out of the crib for sheet changes. But a snug mattress is not necessarily a bad problem to have. by bonnie h 2/11/2013

I'm sorry that I can not comment on the product because it was shipped to my Daughter out of state. However, the customer service from Simply Baby Furniture was superb! They kept us informed every step of the way and did just what they promised to do.
