ANSWER: No. You only receive the rails. On the inside of each rail is a lip that can be used to support the box springs and mattress. They are pretty sturdy and should be fine for regular use. by K S 5/29/2013

ANSWER: If you mean do the rails hold the box spring, yes - they have an L shaped cross section which supports it on either side. If you want extra boards that span the width of the bed, it does not come with them and a box spring does not need them. by Shan S 5/28/2013

ANSWER: The boards were not included, but we were able to get them from Home Depot or Lowes (both cut in store at no additional charge) for only a few $$. This was much easier and less expensive than any of the slats I could locate on line. We also used only the box spring to support the mattress for the first week, since our child was only 30 lbs. This was not a problem. Overall an easy conversion from the toddler bed and a great extension of life on this furniture. Our kids love the "big girl beds" now. by Gordon Z 5/28/2013

ANSWER: The bedrails have a small lip on the sides that the box spring sits on; there aren't any cross boards. I was skeptical that it was going to be enough to keep the mattress stable, but two years later we haven't had any problems! by Daphne B 5/28/2013

ANSWER: It converted to a full bed very nicely and my son loves it. Also this it needed the box spring for the support need for the bed. The wood is a soft pin but otherwise not bad for the money. by M E 6/22/2012

ANSWER: It depends on the size of your headboard. Our kalani headboard converted to a full size bed. We used both a matress and a boxspring. The boxspring will lay right on the edges of the rails. We changed our daughter toddler bed into a full size. The rails are so narrow the mattress wouldn't fit. My husband went out and bought additiIf u were getting it what would u getonal wood so the mattress had support. We could have bought wood and stained it for a quarter of the price. We love the crib and toddler bed but the rails are not worth the money.

We bought the conversion kit for our new grand daughter's beautiful crib. She is only 4 1/2 months old so her crib has not been converted yet but we wanted to make sure we bought the kit while it was still readily available. It came earlier than promised and the price was competitive plus we got free shipping. No complaints here and will be happy to purchase from you again in the future. Thank you.

5 Put together and looks beautiful!, January 29, 2010

Everything looked awesome once put together! The dresser needed at least two people but the crib and changing table went together easily.There was only on knick on a drawer of the changing table but will probably blend in with some Old English dark wood oil. We recieved the wrong size screws than what the directions called for the dresser but they worked fine. I purchased a $70 Sealy mattress from Wal Mart and it fits great! Overall-great buy for the money!
