QUESTION: Were you able to use a crib skirt with this crib? by Megan J 11/15/2014 ANSWER: Only when the crib was in the highest position by Justin E 12/2/2014 ANSWER: Absolutely. As your child grows and you lower the mattress you will no longer need the skirt. While your child is very small and you have the mattress raised the skirt will block the contents of the drawer bellow. by Sarah M 12/2/2014 ANSWER: Yes I was able to use a skirt with this. However when I lowered the mattress I had to pull the skirt up a little so it wouldn't go into the drawer. You can still see the skirt tho. I absolutely LOVE this crib. The quality is AMAZING! Worth every penny. I bought it for my son then had another little guy 13 months later & bought him one as well. Now there 1 & 2 and I still am so in love with it. Hope this helps. Good luck :) by Pasha P 12/1/2014 ANSWER: Yes. The drawer kind-of gets in the way when pulling it in and out with the crib skirt on, but it still works! You just pull it down in front of the drawer. by Stacie M 12/1/2014 ANSWER: I bought the crib for my grandson and the crib set thst my daughter-in-laww used did not have a skirt. I can say that it has been a great crib. My grandson is ready to move to the youth bed and it still looks great. by Denise A 12/1/2014 ANSWER: We didn't use a crib skirt so I don't know. Although I think it might be a tight fit. by Bonny L 12/1/2014 ANSWER: If you are talking about a crib bumper for around the inside of the crib, then yes we did use that, though it was a little tricky to get those ties tied because of the way the crib is curved.. We did not use the crib skirt though.. by Masha T 12/1/2014 ANSWER: Yes, though I had to fold & pin it because it was too long. Fortunately it had slits at the corners so I was able to pull it through. Not sure if it was a standard size. It came with a bedding set I received so I'm assuming it was. Hope that helps a bit!
Nicole by Nicole G 12/1/2014 QUESTION: Hi Everyone, Do you love your Ashbury crib? This is Nicole from Simply Baby Furniture and I am doing a project featuring the Ashbury crib. It is one of our favorite cribs and we would like to highlight some of the cool nurseries that I know you have created with the Ashbury. I would love to see what you have done and if you are interested in submitting a photo or two that would be great! Just email photos along with your favorite things about your nursery and the crib to me at the customer service email (Service@SimplyBabyFurniture. com) Attention: Nicole . I very much appreciate your time and I can't wait to see your nurseries! Thank you, Nicole by Nicole v 3/3/2014 ANSWER: I absolutely love the crib! The sleek yet traditional design really made this crib stand out from others. But my favorite feature by far is the extra storage drawer on the bottom. This is something that most cribs don't offer which make this crib truly unique. Took me weeks to find a design that I liked with the extra storage. Loved it!

The only thing that I would recommend to your site is to maybe wrap the crib more carefully. When I received my crib there were a significant amount of dents and scratches on the crib. And the box it came in was torn up pretty bad. Maybe bubble wrap would help or "handle with care" stickers. It does make a world of difference to
us moms, especially if we plan on having more then 1 child. by Fatima A 3/3/2014 ANSWER: We love our Ashbury crib. It is beautiful and practical, meeting all of our needs and wants in a crib. by S T 3/3/2014 QUESTION: What is the INSIDE height of this crib at the lowest setting? I mean the distance from the TOP of the mattress to the top of the lower rail AT THE LOWEST SETTING. Thank you. by Joanna N 1/13/2014 ANSWER: 19 inches. My daughter is almost two and I still have the rail up. She can't get out and she is tall for her age. If that is what you are worried about. by Hope O 1/20/2014 QUESTION: How would you describe the espresso tone of this crib?? Does it have red tones or would you consider it a cooler espresso color???

Also.. The Emily II Combo Dresser that it comes with as a set doesn't look like it matches. I don't know if it's just the computer monitor throwing off the color, so I would appreciate any feedback you have! Thank you! by Angela C 5/17/2012 ANSWER: It is a cooler espresso color - not much red to it at all - was a bit difficult to get together but is really nice now that it is done.
we got the Item: 01q160 Storkcraft Aspen Sleigh Combo Dresser / Changer in Espresso and it matches really well. by Sarah G 5/23/2012 ANSWER: I would consider it as more of a cooler Espresso color on the crib.
I didn't get the combo dresser...sorry.
It's a beautiful crib, took about two hours to assemble but it did have a few nicks and scratches. by Kathy R 5/19/2012 ANSWER: Our crib is a cooler shade however my guess is that all of them are slightly a different shade. We got the kalani combo dresser and it matches perfectly. Hope this helps. by P M 5/19/2012 ANSWER: Thank you all for your great feedback!! I appreciate it! I went ahead and ordered the crib and the dresser... so excited to set up the little man's room!!

Thanks again =) . by Angela C 5/18/2012 ANSWER: The color is pretty much exactly like a coffee bean. Its a very dark brown that almost looks black in certain lighting. I did not purchase the matching dresser so I can't comment on that one. Hope that helps you out a bit. by Nicole G 5/18/2012 ANSWER: Sleigh convertible crib is fantastic & easy to build. The color is not as dark as i thought it would be but it is nice..maybe a few red tones but alot darker than what pictures show it is more of a black/brown color. The Dresser i love it has lots of room by raymond r 5/18/2012 ANSWER: Hi Angela

My crib is more warm brown with red tones. I love the crib and it is very well made and all real wood except for the draw base. I love that you need to use a tool to more the crib up and down so it's nice and snug to the side.

Maria by Justin E 5/18/2012 ANSWER: I can't answer you on the dresser. We choose not to get the one it came with. We went with the storkcraft aspen 5 drawer dresser because we liked the curves better. As for the bed it's more the espresso. There isn't a whole lot of red. The bed is shaded in spots so it's kinda both. We love ours :) by Robert P 5/18/2012 ANSWER: I LOVED this crib. Very elegant looking and more expensive than it is. As for the tone... Its definitely not DARK espresso and I would go as far as to say that is has a warmer color tone to it. U see the "streaks" of wood in it.. its not Solid based. As for the dresser- I didnt purchase it. I only purchased the changer of Davinci brand. My suggestion to you, is to google this crib/changer/dresser-- to see the color shown on different websites.. some offer a more realistic color (this is what I did). In the picture provided on this website.. it looks more solid for example... but in person its not solid color...

goodluck! by V B 5/18/2012 QUESTION: I would like to know the toxicity of the sealer/varnish/polyurethane/stain

Maybe it is easier to provide a list of ingredients?

Thank you, Sean by Sean H 3/17/2012 ANSWER: I only purchased the crib a few days ago. My husband and I have still yet to put the crib together. I am not sure of the toxicity. However, the wood does seem to be in very good quality. The color of the wood is as seen in photo. A beautiful rich brown.

There were a few tiny, almost unnoticable dents, but that is expected in any delivery. The imperfections were so small that it would not sway me to return the product.

The only thing that I would recommend for anyone is to make sure that you have all your pieces. And it is probably best to see in person, at your local store how firm the mattresses are, then purchasing it online. At least this way you are sure on what you are recieving without going through the hassle of returning.

I do love the quality, color and style of the crib! I will be keeping it.
