QUESTION: We are first time parents looking at this crib and 2 dressers. Has anyone had any issues with this set? Do they seem durable? I see it doesn't come with toddler rails... not sure if that should be a deal breaker? by None N 11/29/2013
ANSWER: It is sturdy but seems less substantial than the Kalani brand we palso purchased. It is great for smaller rooms...looks lighter than some styles. by ruthie g 12/8/2013

ANSWER: There is not a toddler guard rail made to go with the bed - so for the conversion it is mostly just taking the front part of the crib off. No additional parts / pieces needed. We will most likely purchase a mesh guard rail when we get to that stage. We have used the crib for a year now and so far very happy with the quality. ANSWER: I can't say for sure, but a lot of cribs are made from pine. I can say this crib is much more durable and doesn't scratch as easily as the davinci crib I bought for my first baby. by Z I 8/5/2013
ANSWER: This is glazed over solidly with white paint, so there's no real way to tell. My husband said it isn't pressed board, but also not heavy. His guess is maple due to the color inside the screw holes. by Robin H 7/25/2013
