- Baby Safety Gates: Safety gates come in an array of styles and functionalities from wall mount gates to pressure mount safety gates. They come in plastic, metal or wood so you can choose a style that fits best with your home decor. Safety gates help keep your youngster from exploring rooms that are off limits or from going up and down stairs.
- Banister Shield or Netting: To protect your little explorer from falls we recommend using a plastic banister shield or netting across any stairway banister. These baby safety items cover the banister slats to prevent your baby from falling through. You can use a shield or netting on inside banisters, as well as, on outside deck railings.
- Door Knob Covers: To keep your baby from escaping to the wild outdoors, you can place door knob covers on your perimeter doors eliminating your little one's ability to turn the knob and open the door. You can also put door knob covers over the knobs of interior doors to keep your spunky child out of non baby zones.
- Window Wedge: Even if you secure your window screens, babies can still manage to push through them. That's why a window wedge can help. The window wedge is used as a window stop controlling the height in which a window will open.
- Cushion Guards: If you own an end table or have a fireplace hearth that has hard, sharp edges, then you'll want to use a cushion guard around the outside. This will soften the edge keeping your baby safe from possible injuries. When babies are learning to pull up or stand, they tend to grab onto tables or the hearth for support. It's important to keep their support areas soft and baby safe.
- Furniture Safety Straps: It's important to make sure that your nursery furniture, especially a bulky dresser, is sturdy and secured to the wall. Furniture safety straps can be used to keep a dresser in place. You might also consider bolting the dresser to the wall. This will ensure that your growing baby doesn’t pull the dresser over when using it for standing leverage.
- Drawer Latches and Locks: Babies are curious and always wondering what's behind the cabinet door or inside the drawer. If you have cabinets or drawers filled with small items that may pose a choking hazard to your crawling baby, it's imperative that you secure them with a drawer latch or lock.
- Outlet Plugs and Cord Covers: Outlets or dangling cords look like fun to your exploring baby. These are two items you want to keep covered or hidden, out of your little one’s reach. Simply putting outlet plugs in every outlet will keep your baby safe from potential electrocution. Using cord covers will ensure that dangling or loose cords are hidden from your curious kiddies' site.
- Refrigerator Safety Latch: To prevent your little scout from a possible milk gallon on the head incident, or other food related blunders, you can secure your refrigerator by using a refrigerator safety latch.
- Toilet Locks: What baby doesn't like to splash around in water. The toilet looks like a baby fun zone to your young traveler. We recommend using a toilet lock to ensure that the toilet seat stays shut keeping your baby safe from accidental drowning or making a huge mess.
