QUESTION: Is this crib low comparing to other cribs? I have read reviews that mention it being the best for parents on the short side. by None N 6/2/2014 ANSWER: I am not sure if it is low compared to other cribs, but my daughter is 2 and 1/2 and has not ever tried to climb out of it. So I guess it is low!! We love it! by M T 6/8/2014 ANSWER: The rails are low and the mattress can be adjusted pretty high.I am barely 5' 3" and I find it comfortable to lower baby into and out of this crib. Hope that helps! by A M 6/6/2014 ANSWER: Yes, it is lower. I'm 5'1", and it works well for me. It's now down to the lowest setting, and it's still easy to get my son in and out. by Joni A 6/5/2014 ANSWER: Hi! This crib is low which is great for two reasons! 1) it's great for shorter parents/care takers and 2) it's not as scary when your toddler starts crawling out! My daughter started crawling out 'safely' when she was just over 2. by C I 6/5/2014 ANSWER: I'm 5'1" and I have had no issues with this crib height. we just dropped it to the lowest level for my one year old and when I lay her down to sleep it doesn't hurt my back or anything. The crib comes to my waist just below belly button so I don't think u cud get any lower. I love this crib, we have a brown one for my 2 1/2 yr old also. My friend also has the same crib, she's the same height as me and loves hers also. Good luck with the purchase and new baby! by M A 6/5/2014 ANSWER: I am a 5.2 grandmother. The baby has this crib both at our house and at home and I have found it accessible. It looks great. by Eluned S 6/5/2014 ANSWER: I would agree that it is lower than other cribs especially when the mattress isn't at the lowest position. We have loved this crib & are still using it (almost 3 years later!) by A M 6/5/2014 ANSWER: It is.. not a significant amount but my sister-in-law that is a bit shorter loved my crib. by sonya a 6/5/2014 ANSWER: Yes, definitely! by N I 6/5/2014 QUESTION: Is any MDF or paper pressed boards used in this product or is it all solid wood construction? by Megan B 7/23/2013 ANSWER: Sorry, I can't really tell by looking at it, but it's really a beautiful crib.... Hope this helps! by M I 8/29/2013 ANSWER: My husband put it together so I didn't pay attention to every piece but I'm pretty sure it's all real wood. I have really enjoyed it. I bought all 3 pieces from the set and the only complaint I have is the drawer messed up on the changing table dresser. But we were able to fix it. Good luck with your purchase. But I am happy with the product! by Maci C 7/24/2013 ANSWER: All solid wood! But the matching dresser does have paper pressed boards. by L A 7/24/2013 QUESTION: What goes under the mattress? The picture shows the mattress pretty low and it seems uncomfortable when placing the baby and picking him up..

If you want the mattress higher, how would you do this? by sonya a 5/3/2013 STAFF ANSWER: In this photo, the mattress height is shown at it's lowest setting. The Babyletto Modo crib has 4 adjustable mattress heights from infant to toddler stage. by Customer S 5/8/2013 QUESTION: I need to know if I can use a bed-skirt with this crib? by None N 11/27/2012 ANSWER: When the mattress is in the highest position, the bed skirt works. As you lower the mattress, the skirt also lowers and hits the ground. by M T 12/6/2012 ANSWER: It does not work with this crib. I bought a cute one from pottery barn kids but as well have saved the money because you really can see it. by A H 11/29/2012 ANSWER: No. You cannot use a bed skirt with this crib. It doesn't fit well. by MARCELINA A 11/28/2012 ANSWER: You will not be able to use a bed skirt-as you would only be able to see it through the very bottom crack which is only a couple of inches from the ground. The look of the crib is very clean, modern, so it looks very nice without a skirt. by C I 11/28/2012 ANSWER: No, a bed skirt wouldn't work with this crib, but it's beautiful all on it's own and doesn't need it! by K A 11/28/2012 ANSWER: You really can't use a crib skirt on this crib. It really has a very nice look to it with the dark wood on the bottom, so need for a skirt.

It is an awesome crib, I have been so incredible happy with it!

All the best! by M E 11/28/2012 ANSWER: Not when the mattress is on the lowest level. When it is on the upper levels, probably, but I did not use one as it would have to go behind the bars. by S T 11/28/2012 ANSWER: Yes, you can. I believe it would be difficult for the model with the drawer below, but this one is fine. by T M 11/28/2012 ANSWER: Ours was already gathered at the bottom after lowering it for the first time :( You can use one, but you'll just have to tuck the bottom under or pull it toward the middle under the mattress so it shows the bottom. by C I 11/28/2012 ANSWER: Yes but only when its at its highest setting (for newborns) but in my opinion it doesn't showcase the bedskirt nicely but it will fit. by L A 11/28/2012 ANSWER: yes, you may use a bed skirt with this crib until you move the mattress to its lowest position. by M L 11/28/2012 ANSWER: I used a bedskirt until he was standing and the mattress went all the way down (as shown in this picture). The crib is open on the bottom so the bedskirt will go down to the floor. by C M 11/28/2012 ANSWER: You can use a bed skirt but will likely need to remove it once the bed is lowered by Mindy H 11/28/2012 ANSWER: I dont think so, but with that said I have not tried!

PS I love this crib, my son has slept so well in it. He has been in it since he was a day old.
I hope this helps
thank you Emer by E M 11/28/2012 QUESTION: Hello, is it easy to adjust the mattress to the different levels? What is needed to do for that? by None N 9/24/2012 ANSWER: super super easy!! by K A 11/28/2012 ANSWER: Yes, it is very easy to adjust the position of the mattress. All you need is an Allen wrench. We really love this crib :) by N I 9/26/2012 ANSWER: I think so! All you need is the hex key they provide for assembly. You unscrew screws in the four corners and move the mattress support down or up as needed and re-screw. This has been true of all the cribs I have assembled. by A M 9/26/2012 ANSWER: Hi there - Super easy! We just did this last night. All you need is an Allen Wrench (and i'm pretty sure the crib came with one). If not, it is universal to almost all other furniture companies that give you an Allen Wrench for product assembly.

All the Best! by C M 9/26/2012 ANSWER: Yes, it's straightforward to adjust the mattress. The crib comes with the required wrench tool to undo/tighten the bolts in each corner of the mattress platform to adjust the height. Three different levels are possible. by M A 9/26/2012 ANSWER: It's pretty easy, especially with 2 people. Just four screws, you use the allen wrench that comes with the crib. by P A 9/26/2012 ANSWER: It is super easy- basic tools only are needed. by A S 9/26/2012 QUESTION: How well does the paint/finish stand up to scratching and biting? Has anyone experienced chipping or visible scratching on this crib from a teething kid? by D R 8/11/2012 ANSWER: The crib paint/finish does chip due to biting but I still think it is a great crib! You will find imperfections to any crib.

All the best! by M E 9/8/2012 ANSWER: Unfortunately, not very well :( Our daughter did some damage to the surface one morning before we got to her. Soon after, I purchased Lions Gate guards (clear) from Babies R Us and there has been no further damage. I know if I would have had them on it to begin with, there would have been no damage at all. by C I 8/19/2012 ANSWER: The paint did chip as a result of my teething daughter, but I doubt it's any more than any other crib would. You could probably buy a plastic guard to put on the top edge to keep it from happening. Otherwise the crib has held up great. I actually bought a second Modo crib when our #2 baby turned out to be twins! We are happy with both. by L D 8/17/2012 ANSWER: Cot is beautiful, sturdy and easy to put together. I did it by myself when 8 months pregnant!
However, it has become very chipped from my now 14 month old biting it when teething. This is fairly unavoidable though, I think and teething rails can be purchased.
Hope that helps. by P H 8/15/2012 ANSWER: On a side note- we realized that we will be soon replacing the chipped rail with the toddler rail, so it will look new again! by A S 8/14/2012 ANSWER: Unfortunately our crib is showing quite a bit of teething-related wear and tear- the inside of the top rail has quite a few spots that the paint has chipped off to reveal the natural wood color. That said- we have really loved everything else about the crib... we should have invested in protective rail covers earlier perhaps. by A S 8/14/2012 ANSWER: We bought 2 of these cribs for our twin daughter's, and like them very much. Having said that, the paint did chip and rub off in several places fairly quickly. Our girls do not chew on the crib (yet that is), but the paint has come off from us leaning over the crib to put the girls down, probably from our belts/buttons or simply rubbing against them over time. I do wish the paint had lasted longer as the crib is fairly expensive, but since so many aspects of the crib are to my liking, I would still give this crib high marks. Also, since the paint comes off fairly easily, if I notice the babies teething on the crib, I will most likely attach a teething guard to the rail. I certainly do not want them getting paint chips in their mouths. by P A 8/14/2012 ANSWER: We purchased this for my Mom's house where my son naps Monday through Friday. 1 1/2 years later ours looks brand new. No chips, scratches. I will mention that although he leans and hangs on the edge, our son was never big into chewing on furniture. We have had it since our son was 8 months old. by J L 8/14/2012 ANSWER: Great question. My daughter scratched quite a bit of the paint off with her teeth. Thank goodness it's non-toxic. I don't know if other cribs would hold up any better. We mitigated the situation by wrapping the top of the crib with fabric. You can also get plastic pieces to cover it. We kept the fabric on there from about 9 months to 16 months, though I could have probably removed it a bit sooner. Now I just need to figure out how to touch up the paint :). by T M 8/13/2012 QUESTION: what date would this ship? or expect to arrive? by ashley n 1/31/2012 STAFF ANSWER: If in stock, this item will ship within 24-48 hours with an estimated 5-7 business days in transit time. by Customer S 1/31/2012 |
