The gorgeous Slate finish on the Jayden 4-in-1 Convertible Crib by DaVinci brings out the natural beauty of the grain in the New Zealand solid pine from which it's constructed. The gently arched back and softly curving sides enhanced by the elegant molding and stately pattern make this piece simply gorgeous for any nursery. The low front allows you to get your baby in and out of the crib easily. The stationary design with no moving parts keeps your baby's fingers and toes safe from being pinched. Adjust the mattress to four different levels as your child first pulls up and then grows taller and taller. ANSWER: I'm not sure what you mean by "solid" but when it is put together, there are no moveable parts. It is convertible in the sense that once you are done with the infant use of the crib, it can be taken apart with tools and re-put together into the toddler bed, etc. by Seth J 7/30/2015

ANSWER: Yes, I would say the product looks very sturdy and solid. I love the color as well. My only concern is how long will the manufacturer keep the toddler bed side rails conversion kit in their stock? I came across other crib kits that I couldn't even find screws for. ANSWER: This crib is definitely something better than you would find at target or other comparable stores. In terms of solid, I'm not sure how solid of a crib you are looking to purchase. This crib has been great for us and is definitely thick enough that i'm not worried about it tipping over or anything of that nature. Was nervous about ordering a crib online but the color is beautiful. Husband and I put it together in less than an hour. Not as substantial in weight as the high end crib we bought for our first born, but definitely a great value for the price.
