COMMENT: I chose this primarily for the removable guard rails. I also chose this for the flat head and footboards to take up less room as compared to a sleigh bed. I figure the solid color will last longer than a toddler bed with fairies or Dora on it; I'll just change up the sheets to the likings of my twin girls. by Melissa M 7/2/2014

QUESTION: What age is this bed appropriate for? 2yrs? 3yrs? by None N 6/25/2014

ANSWER: My son started to get out of his crib regularly at 17 months. We bought this bed and he started the transition right away. Love the bed. I did recently add a wood piece beneath the mattress since my son tends to be a little rough. A friend was getting rid of a crib and we used the wood base piece from that to err on the side of caution and bulk up the bed. It comes with slats that sit about 2 inches apart the entire length of the mattress. It has never shown that it needed this bit I figured it couldn't hurt. This bed will work great until he moves to a twin. Fully recommend. by Suzanne S 6/26/2014

It was easy for my husband to put together and looks great in the room. Only complaint is that the drawer that slides underneath the bed doesn\'t properly line up...so we have had to go to the local hardware store to fix it.
