Materials & Processing Information
Each product in our entire line is finished with a high build, five step finishing process. After a thorough sanding, a wipe-on sealer is applied. Once dry, a tinted sealer is applied to even the grain and color of the wood. Next, another round of sanding before the first base color coat is applied. More sanding and the second base color coat is applied. Finally there is a final sanding and the finish coat is applied. This process produces a long lasting and durable finish that will last for years.
Our Platform Beds utilize an innovative hook and pin system creating a strong, long lasting connection between the headboard and foot board. Two metal pins are embedded within the head and foot boards at two positions making it easy to switch from upper height to lower height. Set the bed high for use with bed storage drawers or trundle bed or set it low for use with mattress and foundation. Each headboard and foot board we manufacture has the ability to bolt directly to a metal bed frame with industry standard fittings built right in.
All of our cribs are JPMA Certified! Our finishes have all been tested to be non-toxic and lead free.
Atlantic Furniture's Bunk Beds are constructed of solid eco-friendly hardwood and protected by our five step high build non toxic finish. All Bunk Beds utilize our exclusive 26 point steel reinforcements and mortise & tenon joinery for the ultimate in product safety.
