The rails are fixed for maximum safety and the crib mattress is placed on a support system that permits three positions. The transitions of the crib will be a joy for your child as the years pass and it goes through transitions to toddler bed, daybed and a beautiful full-size bed (full-size bed rails not included). In toddler phase there is a toddler safety rail that is removed to create a daybed when your child is ready. As a full-size bed, the beautiful rails are used for headboard and footboard. The Aspen Changing Table with Drawer is completely functional for diaper changing and is also a gorgeous sleigh design with the midnight Black finish (non-hazardous).
