QUESTION: My daughter and son-in-law are fairly on the heavier side, the cushion in the chair looks thin??? This chair also looks low to the ground more for someone short, can you tell me how this chair would wear for someone say near 300 pounds and around 5'7...?
Thank you for your advice....as this is their first child.
Signed,
Karen by Joe K 10/9/2012
ANSWER: i am 6 feet tall and almost 200 pounds...i think the chair is very comfortable, although i don't sit in it for extended periods of time. Its good for middle of the night feedings and rocking my little one to sleep. by Sarah A 10/24/2012
ANSWER: Well the springs pop loose out of the bottom of this chair. It has not been my favorite. I would def buy a different one. by W C 10/23/2012
ANSWER: Hi Karen- the pad is very thin and the rocking chair is very poor quality. I would not recommend it for anyone and I do not think that your daughter and son-in-law would be comfortable with it. Spend a little more money and purchase a better quality chair. You will be happy in the long run! by T E 10/18/2012
REPLY: Thank you very much for your honest answer, I found a stagman glider from Albeebaby which is beautiful that was on a Columbus day sale for a lesser price. My son-in-law and daughter absolutely Love it!!! Thank you so much!!! by Joe K 10/19/2012
ANSWER: I would not recommend this chair. My wife is 120 after delivering. Max weight while pregnant was 170. I am about 200 and the springs under the cushion snap off all the time. My wife sits and you can see the springs bend.

I don't know where you live but you can try babies r us, target or baby depot. These stores care a selection of chairs in the store. We ended up buying another one from babies r us a little more expensive but worth it. by O S 10/18/2012
REPLY: Thank you for your reply, we bought one from Albeebaby Co. we got a stagman for a lesser cost and a much better chair and ottoman. It is absolutely perfect. I love this company but this chair just doesn't do them justice. Thank you so very much...Sincerely, Karen by Joe K 10/19/2012
ANSWER: I wouldn't recommend it under those circumstances. I have one & absolutely love it but I'm 5'1. My husband is 5'11 and it was a little low for him, he couldn't get up as smoothly as I could with a sleeping baby in his arms! The seat is a bit on the narrow side. We both fit just fine but neither of us weigh over 160. by M M 10/18/2012
ANSWER: The pad is about 3 inches thick. It's not too low to the ground but I don't think a 300+ lb person would be all that comfortable in it. It's not all that wide and it's not all that soft. It's a great chair and I love it but if I were on the heavier side I'd probably opt for something larger and more couch-like like more of a lazy boy style gliding chair as they are also great and might be more comfortable. by E B 10/18/2012
ANSWER: The chair is pretty sturdy... However; I am only 5'4" and 110 lbs... but my husband is 6'4" and 205 lbs... and he sits in it as well, albeit not as much as I do. Since I am fairly small I actually sit in it sideways and not the traditional way, so I am not sure how comfortable it would be for a prolonged period of time sitting the 'proper way'. If price isn't a concern I might recommend looking into one of the cushy rocking recliners... I think you can find one for $300-$350... I imagine they would be more sturdy and accommodating for someone who is on the larger side. Hope this helps... and CONGRATULATIONS on your new grandbaby!! by Kristy H 10/18/2012
ANSWER: The chair was comfortable for myself (5'10" and 175 after baby) by C O 10/18/2012
STAFF ANSWER: Hi Karen, I would recommend another chair, possibly one that is wider and has a thicker cushion. My wife is thin and fits by
