ANSWER: Yes it is a sturdy piece. We actually purchased this for our daughter when she was born - she's almost 3 now. And another when our son was born a year ago. ANSWER: I have the entire set and overall it has been a great set. It has to be put together so it is as sturdy as you make it. The only issue I have had is the lower drawer is where I put diapers and wipes so every time we changed a diaper it was opened and closed. Due to this much use the rails on side of drawer became loose. I just added wood glue in between rail and drawer and re attached them using same screws. No more issues since then. ANSWER: The look and overall quality is great. Over time we have had the screws come off the slides and they are stripped so we have to move the drawer slides. That was our only problem by T R 7/18/2012

ANSWER: Yes and no....it is durable and of decent weight. My only complaint is it is easily scratched. My husband is a mechanic and very crafty. He struggled putting it together sturdy enough to suit us in our baby's room. He used his skills to make it more sturdy for us. by L I 7/18/2012

ANSWER: It is probably particle board underneath a wood veneer. It is not the kind of thing you could sand and repaint or anything like that. However, I've had mine for 2 years and am happy with it. It looks nice and survived moving to another town. by C L 7/18/2012

I love this dresser. It's the perfect size to put changing pad on top. Very sturdy.

The dresser was easy to put together even though I didn't assemble it myself. Looks good, the drawers open and close with ease. For what I paid for it I hope it lasts at least a couple years.
