ANSWER: Hi, no, you can't remove it, but it is roomy enough to have your changing pad and lotions and such at the end of the table. I like that it is very sturdy and has the extra drawers for storage. Also, when your baby is no longer using the changing table, it can double as storage for books, toiletries, etc. Hope this helps! by N H 7/7/2014

ANSWER: It is possible but it is not ideal as the bottom of the changing pad (top of the dresser) is just a thin (1/4 inch) sheet of wood so it would not look nice without the railings. by Elizabeth D 7/7/2014

My husband and I purchased this set a few months ago for our son (will be born mid-May, 2013) and we love it! Initially, I was a little hesitant purchasing such a big item without actually seeing it, but we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it is.

After reading some of the reviews, I was a little worried about putting it together. I helped (mostly watched) my husband put together the dresser, he is a good handyman. It took him approximately two hours to put it together (that was with a couple breaks). While he was away for work, I decided to try to put the crib together myself (I know what a hammer is, but not much more), I was a little stuck right off the bat (a little confusion over a couple pieces of the crib), but other than that I had NO PROBLEM what-so-ever putting it together myself. It took me about three hours non-stop to put it together. I was honestly surprised at how easy it was to put together.

The only thing that I do not like on this crib is the bottom drawer. I have trouble sliding it back in once I pull it out. It sticks, I think that if the rails were a little longer, it would work better. My husband is in the process of changing those out.

The other thing that I don't necessarily care for, but didn't think about when we were purchasing it, is the lip on the front of the dresser. It's great for a changing table, but once he's potty trained and we use it as his dresser, I wish we could remove that piece, but we can't. But that is more of a cosmetic issue than anything else.

I definitely believe that this set is worth the price!

Fairly simple to assemble- good instructions but front bed panel scatched and stained inproperly.

My baby girl hasn't had the chance to use the crib & changing table yet because she is due in September, but I'm sure she will love it. I put the changing table together on my own, which wasn't too hard. My husband put the crib together without the instructions without any difficulties. He said that it didn't come with any instructions, but they were stuffed into a plastic sleeve that he didn't notice. After we found them, we double checked to make sure he put it togther right & he did! Very sturdy furniture. I just wish the bottom of the drawer
