Assembling the crib was done by us, grandparents. We have not converted the crib up to this point. We would use the directions and the hardward sent with our order to convert.. ANSWER: Yes, it is easy to assemble. My husband had it together in a couple of hours. It's not terribly heavy either. We love this crib. I would go ahead & purchase the bed rails for the conversion just in case. ANSWER: Yes it is not difficult at all and is a really nice crib. We even got the matching dresser by N O 8/19/2012

ANSWER: We had to assemble the crib in the nursery - it wouldn't have fit in otherwise. That meant we had to unassembe it when we moved recently - luckily the movers did that for us. It took a little time to assemble that first time but it wasn't bad at all and the instructions were pretty clear. Just be sure you pay attention to the right and left sides! We had to undo and then redo a couple sides :) We did have some trouble with the parts we got originally (first a part was defective, then the replacement as the wrong side); once we got everything straightened out it went together beautifully. We haven't converted it to a bed, yet, but I believe everything is there! From our experience, I do know that the customer service for the manufacturer of DaVinci was great so if you do have any trouble at all they would be happy to help make things right. All in all we are very happy with this crib and the matching changing table. by E M 8/19/2012

ANSWER: The crib is very sturdy. We have been using it for 4 months, so it's still very new, but we have been very pleased up to this point. I would buy from Davinci again and have recommended it to family members who are equally happy with their purchases. It doesn't have a great place to put a monitor,if that matters for your set up. We had to use a small velcro strip to secure the camera since the bars are pretty narrow at the top. If you have a shelf to put the camera on, then that won't be an issue for you. by J O 8/2/2012

My daughter and son-in-law bought the Davinci crib for their first baby. They needed another one for baby #2. So I bought the same one. They are very happy with the quality. Easy to put together, easy to convert.

I am very happy with this crib. I love the wood color and it is a very good quality for the price. The service was great. It was at our door step within 3 days of ordering it, free of damage. My husband put it together in a short amount of time without any frustration. I believe there is a DaVinci Emily dresser/changer combo that goes with it, but when I ordered the crib I could not find it on the website. I went with the DaVinci Kalani dresser/changer combo as I read a review stating that they matched well, however the dresser is a lighter color and the quality is not as great for the price. I would highly recommend the crib but would recommend a different dresser to go with it.
