Use the DaVinci Twin / Full Size Bed Conversion Rail Kit to transform your baby's crib to a bigger bed. This kit can be used on any of the following cribs: Emily, Emily Mini, Valerie and Kalani Convertible Cribs. The rails are finished in a rich Ebony to match the ebony colored cribs. You'll use the crib's front and back rails as head and footboard on the new bed and you'll use the rail kit to extend the bed's body to fit a new twin/full size mattress. Once you finish the conversion your child will have a bed that continues to match the room decor and will stand strong for many more years of use because the rail is made with strong pine wood to match the crib's sturdy frame.

ANSWER: It depends upon the weight I think. We do not have any on ours. It has a little lip on the rails that the mattress sits on. It seems sturdy enough when my son jumps on it like trampoline and hes 32 lbs. by C I 6/16/2012

This product is amazing!!! The quality is great. The finish is beautiful, the furniture is sturdy and the directions were easy to read to put he pieces together. I'm very happy with my choice! The delivery of the item was quick as well!
